1. What is your main objective in bundling your works with other authors?

I am not that great at publicity, and I love learning from this fabulous group. I also hope that being in the collection will expose me to new readers.

2. What blogging, newsletter and social media promotions have you done to promote the LOVE, CHRISTMAS collection?

I did a post on the ABB blog. I am doing a blog for the USA Today HEA Blog. I participated in the FB party. The big thing I did was organize and edit the cookbook which we put out to advertise the collection. As I said, I'm not great at publicity, but since I am also the author of 15 cookbooks, I figured this was something I could do for the group. Of course, my husband was the one who made it look great with his outstanding formatting.

3. Most authors require a large time commitment just in writing and editing a new book. Was this your first book set, a new book was required with a deadline?

I am the author of 150 books, 130 of them romantic suspense or paranormal romantic suspense for traditional publishers. I have had plenty of deadlines. And I have written new material for other sets. Actually, it helps to have a deadline.

4. When will you publish your writings outside the LOVE, CHRISTMAS collection? Do you mean the story in the collection? It's part of my Decorah Security paranormal romantic suspense series, and I will publish it when the collection releases it for our own use. Meanwhile I am finishing up a novel, Escape Velocity, that will be part of my Off World Series--romances and RS set on planets in the far future.

Ruth and her husband travel frequently to research settings for novels and taste new dishes for cookbooks. Her many unique experiences are apt to end up in her books--like the time she encountered a coral snake in the Guatemalan jungle or took a flight in a glider plane.
